This policy covers theaeoguy.pro and the consulting work sold through it. It is written to be read rather than to be technically survivable, so it says what actually happens and nothing else.

The short version: the only personal information this site collects is what you type into the audit request form. There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking of any kind, and the site sets no cookies at all.

Who you are contracting with

The AEO Guy is a trading name of Muhammad Osama Ahmed, operating as an individual sole proprietor in Pakistan.

Correspondence address: AA-44, Street 2, Gulshan-e-Hadeed Phase 2, Bin Qasim Town, Karachi 75010, Sindh, Pakistan

Contact: hello@theaeoguy.pro

This is a correspondence address for a remote consultancy. There is no customer facing office at this location, and no US entity or US office.

What I collect

One form, on the contact page. It asks for seven things, six of them required:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your business name
  • Your website, which is optional
  • Your main market
  • Your industry
  • An example question you expect a buyer to ask

That is the entire list. There is no hidden field collecting anything else, and nothing is inferred, enriched or appended from a third party data source. The form is used to run the audit and to reply to you. It is not used to build a mailing list, and you will not be added to one by submitting it.

Like every website, the server that hosts this one keeps standard request logs. Those contain the IP address, the page requested, the time and the browser user agent. They are generated by the host rather than by anything I added, and they are what makes it possible to tell a real visitor from a denial of service attempt.

What I do not collect

This section is longer than it needs to be because the absences are the point.

  • No analytics. No Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no self hosted equivalent. I do not know how many people visit this site or which pages they read.
  • No cookies. Not one, first party or third party. There is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
  • No tracking pixels, no advertising, no remarketing, no fingerprinting, and no session recording.
  • No social media embeds. Those load third party scripts that watch visitors whether or not anyone clicks them.
  • No account system, so there is nothing to log into and no password to store.

If that changes, this page changes first and the date at the top moves with it.

The one thing stored in your browser

The homepage shows a short intro animation the first time you arrive in a browsing session. To avoid replaying it every time you move between pages, it records a single value in your browser's session storage:

  • Key aeo:intro, value 1

Session storage is not a cookie. It is never sent to the server, it cannot be read by any other website, and the browser deletes it when you close the tab. It contains no identifier and nothing about you. Closing the tab removes it, and so does clearing site data in your browser settings. Blocking storage entirely is also fine: the site checks, and simply skips the animation.

Who else can see it

Three parties, and no others.

Netlify, which hosts the site

The site is served by Netlify, which also receives and stores the audit request form submissions. That means Netlify holds a copy of anything you submit, along with the server logs described above. Their privacy terms govern that copy.

Google Fonts

The typeface is served from Google's font service, which means your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads and Google receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request. No cookie is set by it. This is the only third party resource the site loads, and it is a candidate for removal by self hosting the font file.

The email provider that delivers my replies

When I answer you, your email address and my reply pass through a mail provider, the same as any other email anyone sends.

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared for advertising. There is no data broker in this chain and no partner receiving a copy.

How long it is kept

Audit requests are kept while the conversation is live and for as long as there is a plausible reason to refer back to one, which in practice means the length of an engagement plus a reasonable tail. If you ask me to delete yours, I delete it, including the stored copy held by the host.

Server logs are retained by the host on their own schedule, which I do not control and cannot shorten.

Your choices

You can ask me to send you a copy of what I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Ask through the contact page or by email, and expect a reply within a few business days. There is no form to fill in, and if I cannot match a request to a submission I will say so rather than guess.

To protect your information, requests to access, correct or delete data are confirmed through the email address associated with the record before anything is disclosed or removed. If a request cannot be confirmed that way, further proportionate verification may be needed before it can be actioned.

Depending on where you live you may have specific statutory rights, including under the California Consumer Privacy Act. The practical answer is the same either way, because the list above is what I will do on request regardless of which law applies to you. I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under that Act, and there is nothing here to opt out of.

Children, changes and contact

This is a business to business service. It is not directed at children, and I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under thirteen.

If this policy changes, the effective date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be summarized at the top rather than buried, because a policy that quietly rewrites itself is not worth publishing.

Questions about any of this go to the same place as everything else: the contact page, or hello@theaeoguy.pro.
